Activity 2.1

This activity is to be done in groups

You are to examine a computer room in the college looking for health and safety issues with respect to ergonomics.

1. Copy and print out a table similar to the one below.

2. List the ergonomic principles you are going to look for in the table.

Example table (note: you should add a lot more rows to your table)

Activity 2.2

Your tutor will now specify which room each group is to examine. Carry out the following...

1. As a group examine the room for potential hazards and identify any good or bad working arrangements

2. Use your table to keep a record of what you looked for, any potential hazards found and any good or bad working arrangements.

1. Write a short report summarizing the results in your table, giving an opinion on the working arrangements of the room, any potential hazards found and any recommendations.
